Educational purpose only

HomeBuyerMap provides general, educational information about the homebuying process, including the roadmap, glossary, myth pages, and calculators. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, or mortgage advice, and nothing here is a loan offer or commitment to lend. We are not a lender and do not originate, broker, or fund mortgage loans.

Calculators are estimates, not quotes

The closing cost, affordability, and rent-vs-buy calculators on the tools page use simplified assumptions and general averages to produce educational estimates. They are not a substitute for a Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, or advice from a licensed lender, agent, or financial professional. Actual costs, rates, and qualification will differ based on your specific situation, lender, and location.

Agent matching

If you submit the "Find a realtor" form, we'll attempt to connect you with a licensed real estate agent in our network who serves your area. We make reasonable efforts to verify agents' active license status and review history before they join the network, but we do not guarantee the conduct, performance, or outcome of any transaction between you and an agent. Any agreement you enter into with an agent is between you and that agent.

No fiduciary relationship

Using this site does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, broker, or advisory relationship between you and HomeBuyerMap.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt its operation, scraping it at disruptive volume, or submitting false information through the match form.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party resources. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of sites we don't operate.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the information on it is complete, current, or accurate for your specific circumstances.

Limitation of liability
